About
Kristen Birkmeier, MSPT – is a renowned and highly respected pediatric clinician and educator who teaches national workshops focused on assessment and treatment of the infant and child with neuromotor dysfunction.
She offers courses on a variety of topics and always presents a family-centered focus. Ms. Birkmeier has worked in numerous pediatric settings and currently lives on Smith Mountain Lake in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain area of southwest Virginia where she provides assessment and treatment to infants and young children with neuromotor dysfunction.
She has been an NDTA Pediatric Coordinator-Instructor for many years and has held adjunct faculty positions at:
- Indiana University Physical Therapy Program
- Rocky Mountain University Neurology Tract
- University of Alaska – Anchorage in the Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education program.
She is a Certified Kinesio Taping® Practitioner (CKTP), and is an active member of APTA, VPTA, and Kinesio® USA.
